There are many variations of kebab such as kebap with vegetables (tagine), kebap with fruits (gourmet kebab) and even keep with nuts (human kebab).

Another traditional delicacy in the region is a type of fruit salad. These are made from cooked pears, apricots, peaches, plums, nectarines, dates and olives. The best way to enjoy these fruit salads is by eating it right after they have been prepared. You can serve them chilled or hot and then mix them with a little lemon juice. This type of fruit salad has a unique taste that is hard to reproduce in other cuisines.

Last but not least on the list of delicious traditional meals is hummus. A simple sauce of garlic, olive oil and lemon juice is first combined and then cooked in a special dauber for a couple of minutes. Then, it is decorated with fresh vegetables and served hot. This delicious Turkish delicacy is on the list of many gourmet restaurants all over the world.
