In April, tourists can enjoy an array of outdoor concerts, cultural events, exhibitions, ballets, theatrical performances and sporting activities.

If you do decide to visit Cyprus in the low season, you need to keep your eyes open for travel restrictions. The entry requirements for Cyprus vary by location, ranging from age to nationality. For instance, persons who are ages fifteen and below and whose mother is a permanent resident of Cyprus are prohibited from traveling without a special travel document. The same restriction applies to persons who are of any age who are ordinarily resident in Cyprus or who have become a qualified member of the Cyprus National Security Forces and who wish to obtain a divorce or widow’s certificate after one year.

There are several major tourist attractions in Cyprus, including the old city of Nicosia (also referred to as “Seaport Village”) and the capital city of Nicosia, which is also its harbor. Both contain numerous museums and art galleries as well as hotels, restaurants and bars. You can also visit the village of Alozo, which is home to the temperate weather and pleasant scenery. The “Zelios” mountains range from the northwest to the southeast and provide some of the best views of the country and of the Mediterranean Sea. Tourists may take time to hike on the mountains, visit the villages and enjoy the panoramic views at the same time.

While in Cyprus, you will find that it is a great time to visit, particularly if you love the beach. The beaches of Cyprus are located in the region of Lemnos and lie approximately 40 kilometers north of Nicosia, which is the capital of Cyprus. The most popular beaches are Psokas, Plokki and Calygo. The summers are warm but not hot, which is a different story altogether with the humidity. However, the crowds at the beaches of Cyprus are fairly moderate, and the water sports offer many options.

If you like shopping, you might want to visit Larnaca. Larnaca is a small island located in the northern part of Cyprus and is best known for being a port on the river Limassol. It is where many ancient Cypriot goods are still kept, including pottery and weapons. In addition to that, Larnaca is an excellent place to purchase souvenirs, visit the sights, and sample the local food and wine.
