A Short Introduction to German Culture

Did you ever think you knew all there was to know about German culture? Or did you ever wish you knew more? If so, this article is for you.

german culture

You may not be aware but Germany is the homeland of many famous composers, artists and writers. Did you know that the main language spoken in Germany is also the national language of Germany? That’s right, we Germans are also Germans! But, a bit of you type of wanted to think that, right?

Maybe you figured out German grammar wasn’t your thing because you’re from the USA. Or maybe, you didn’t want to learn another language when you could learn German beer! But no matter what, German culture is yours for the taking, especially if you like cars. You see, most of all, German cars are just beautiful. And as a car lover, that’s exactly what you should be looking at to begin with.

Okay, so what exactly are the things that make Germany such a beautiful country? What are its unique traits that set it apart from other countries? Well, perhaps one of the most important things to take note of is that Germany has a lot of traditions. These include tons of music, lots of traditions, and lots of cars. Now if you don’t already know about German beer and the traditions surrounding it, well I’ll tell you now. It’s all about the colors and markings that have been created over the last hundred years or so.

When you think about a country having a lot of traditions and logical thinking behind everything, well, it’s pretty obvious that Germany has had a lot of those. For example, you’ll notice that there is a strong cultural belief that German cars are really beautiful. As for the rest of the world, well, logic says that if something looks beautiful on the outside, then it must be beautiful inside as well. So, this deep-rooted cultural belief that German cars are really nice, and cars in general, is something that you won’t find in most other countries.

Another thing about German culture that you might not have known about is the fact that German soldiers were one of the first in the world to use machine guns. This has lead to a lot of different machine gun parts being produced in the world today. Ok, I’m sure you didn’t know that, did you? Well, it’s true. German soldiers were one of the first in the world to use machine guns, which in turn lead to them creating machine gun parts for other countries. Now, I think that you might want to learn more about Germany, and the world war ii.

The last thing that I would like to bring up in regards to the German culture, is the strong sense of family. You’ll hear a deep dark voice that you never heard before. It’s probably the voice of a dad, or a grandpa, or someone important in the family. Most of the time it’s the voice of one of the older generation, and it’s pretty cool because it brings a lot of old fashioned German traditions into light, with just a few snips here and there. The fact that the voice sounds so German, makes it all the more authentic, and it brings a unique flavor to any conversations you have with these people.

Ok, that’s it for now. I hope I gave you some interesting facts about the German culture, and what it means to the rest of the world. As I said before, if you’re from Europe, you already know a little about Germany. If not, take a look at my blog, and you can find out a little bit more about Germany and their culture. See you on my next post!
